Physicians Regional Healthcare System is comprised of two hospitals, Physicians Regional-Pine Ridge and Physicians Regional-Collier Boulevard, and a multi-specialty physician practice - Physicians Regional Medical Group.
Physicians Regional Medical Group
Physicians Regional Medical Group is comprised of world-class, full-service medical clinics located in Naples and Bonita Springs, Florida. Carefully selected for their credentials and training, the physicians of Physicians Regional Medical Group have all Florida licenses and are board certified or board eligible in one or more specialties.
Physicians Regional Medical Group focuses on treating the patient, not just the disease. Working together, the physicians of our group provide comprehensive diagnoses and coordinated treatment. Proximity of offices and examination rooms, collegial collaboration and strict peer review, ensure high-quality, cost-effective and well-coordinated care - a tremendous advantage to patients who require the services of more than one physician. This care and concern is supported by state-of-the-art technology and dynamic research and medical education programs. For these reasons, patients travel to Physicians Regional from all over the United States and many foreign countries.
Our Hospitals...
Physicians Regional-Pine Ridge
Physicians Regional-Pine Ridge has been part of the Southwest Florida community since 1999. Formerly Cleveland Clinic Florida, the hospital was purchased in May 2006 by Health Management Associates, Inc. (HMA), a leading national operator of acute care hospitals. The ownership change transitioned Physicians Regional-Pine Ridge to a true community hospital -- meaning it was no longer closed to only Cleveland Clinic physicians. By adding some of the area's finest private practice physicians to an already exceptional medical staff, the hospital is now able to embrace and support the community like never before.
Physicians Regional-Collier Boulevard
Physicians Regional-Collier Boulevard is Southwest Florida's newest hospital and HMA's first de nova hospital. The State of Florida granted HMA a Certificate of Need (CON) to build the hospital in 2005. Construction began on September 8, 2005, and on February 5, 2007, after tremendous public anticipation, the hospital began accepting patients. The opening of Physicians Regional-Collier Boulevard brought vital services like obstetrics and pediatrics to East Naples and Marco Island, and expanded healthcare choices for everyone in the region.
One Healthcare System...
With two hospitals in the same market, HMA saw a clear opportunity to create a strong hospital system that provided more options and improved access to healthcare for all citizens and visitors in Southwest Florida. The fact that the hospitals have separate and complementary services, and are located in different regions of Naples, made the union a logical decision. Therefore, the two hospitals now operate with one leadership team under the umbrella of Physicians Regional Healthcare System.
